Knott Architects have worked with Planning Aid for London to devise a
scheme helping visually impaired people understand the planning process
and enabling them to get involved in planning decisions.
Funded by the Department of Inovation, Universities and Skills 'Transformation
Fund', the 200-piece model representing 25 different land uses will be
used in workshops with local authorities, schools and community groups.
The model
uses textured materials and motifs to indicate use and pieces are laid
out on a magnetic base.
