GRAZEBROOK
ROAD, STOKE NEWINGTON
This fine Georgian terraced house in a Conservation
Area has been generally refurbished, maintaining historic feel with some
significant changes to upper-most and lower-most areas.
Spaces flow from music room to snug reading room, open dining and sitting
space, to kitchen and finally out to the garden. Vast glazed door, circular
rooflights and a glass-topped lantern ensure spaces are filled with daylight.
Views and vistas have been carefully created.
A limited pallet of materials contrast brash, exposed steel
structure, stainless steel kitchen and rough York stone with
soft reclaimed teak parquet and salvaged terracotta tiles. The new side
extension contrasts soft lead cladding with existing brick and is kept
considerately low to the neighbour’s side.
