UPPER
HOLLOWAY, N7
An
ancient, low-ceilinged kitchen extension has been replaced, providing
headroom, connection with the garden and daylinght into the heart of the
house.
A tall enclosure formed of 'L' shaped bands
of concrete and glass was created. Internally, exposed brickwork, lime-washed
floorboards and stainless worktops sit well with natural render and white
skimcoat walls. A sink unit of recycled marble and galvanised steel angles
sits in front of the glass wall without obscuring the garden view. Exposed
braided stainless steel pipes carry the services.
